Speaker Miller Letter RE: Res. 549-A |
||
| Dear New Yorker:
Thank you for contacting my office with regard to Proposed Resolution 549-A, which addresses the actions of the United States with respect to Iraq. The manner in which our nation proceeds in this situation is a serious matter of great concern to the members of the New York City Council and the citizens that we represent. The Council's Committee on Cultural Affairs, Libraries and International Intergroup Relations held a hearing on Proposed Resolution 549-A on February 26, 2003, at which time the public had the opportunity to comment on this proposed resolution. The Council is currently in the process of developing a consensus on Proposed Resolution 549-A. As you may know, I am a sponsor of Proposed Resolution 549-A and believe that the United States should not go to war with Iraq at this time. I look forward to pursuing this important issue within the City Council in the coming days and weeks ahead. Sincerely, |
