Bronx Action for Justice and Peace is busy working to achieve the largest possible turnout from the Bronx to the United for Peace demonstration in Manhattan on Saturday, February 15.

This event promises to be one of the largest International Anti-War Protest Days in History!

BRONX FEEDER MARCH:

149th Street and the Grand Concourse at 10:30 a.m.

The Details:

Bronx Action, Mothers on the Move, and other organizations have designated a rallying point in the Bronx at 149th Street and the Grand Concourse at 10:30 AM on 2/15. From there, we will be marching over the 145th Street bridge and then boarding a subway to 49th Street and First Avenue where the Manhattan rally is being held.

United for Peace and Justice* is calling for a huge rally for peace in New York City on February 15 since it is the day when millions of people in the United States and all over the world will be speaking with one voice and one message: Let the UN inspections work! A peace movement of enormous proportions is crystallizing in this country; all indications are that the event will be one of the largest outpourings of peace sentiment ever. February 15 will be massive, peaceful and powerful.

Bronx Action is devoting this weekend and next week to flyering and postering to get out the word about the demonstration. We are urging people to come to the rally and to bring their friends, relatives, co-workers; their churches, synagogues, and mosques; their unions; and their neighborhood organizations. Remember: friends don't let friends stay home on 2/15.

To help with this effort, click here to download the flyer we have been disseminating (you need Adobe Acrobat on your machine for this).

We invite you to download it, reproduce it, and then put it up in your laundry room and under your neighbors' doors, in the windows of local stores; or distribute it at subway stops and shopping thoroughfares, or at church services or community meetings. Or wherever you think it will be most effective.

We look forward to seeing you all on February 15!
